Transportation:

Out of town participants and visitors should book flights into Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). UCLA is approximately 12 miles from (LAX).

There is regular Bus Service between LAX and Westwood. The best service is via the Big Blue Bus (Santa Monica). The bus will take about 1 hour to get to Westwood (which is longer than a taxi or shuttle because it routes through Santa Monica). To take the bus, you need to take the LAX Airport Shuttle bus to the Transit Center, and there catch the Number 3 Big Blue Bus.

FlyAway Service: Los Angeles World Airports in cooperation with UCLA Transportation provides daily nonstop bus service — one-way and roundtrip — between Westwood and LAX. Buses depart every 30 minutes on the hour and half-hour from Westwood, next to UCLA Parking Structure 32 (Kinross Ave just west of Gayley Ave) and LAX (both directions simultaneously) between 5 a.m. - 1 a.m., seven days a week. Cost is $4 each way (Cash Only, Exact Change)

Shuttle Services operate continuously and can take you to Westwood for approximately $25. To catch one of these, go to the outer lanes and talk to one of the shuttle dispatchers. They will usually be able to put you on a shuttle within 15-20 minutes. Super Shuttle and Prime Time Shuttle are some of the larger companies.

Taxis (e.g. Yellow Cab) can be picked up at curbside (inside lanes), right outside baggage claim. The cost to go to Westwood will be about $35, including a $2.50 airport tax.

Driving Directions:
From LAX:
Take the 405 Freeway North to the Wilshire Blvd. East exit.
Continue east on Wilshire for several blocks, moving into the left lane.
Make a left turn on Westwood Blvd. and follow it into campus.

From the 405 North:
Take 405 North to Wilshire Blvd. East exit. Travel east three blocks to Westwood Blvd.
Turn Left on Westwood Blvd. Travel five blocks to Information & Parking Booth.

From the 405 South:
Take 405 South to Sunset East exit. Take Sunset east to Westwood Plaza.
Turn right on Westwood Plaza. Proceed straight to Information & Parking Booth

From the east via the 10 (Santa Monica Freeway):
Take 10 East to 405 North. Take 405 North to Wilshire Blvd. East exit
Travel east three blocks to Westwood Blvd. Turn left on Westwood Blvd.
Travel five blocks to Information & Parking Booth.

Parking Information:

To obtain a daily parking permit ($9/day) please visit Parking Lot 4, located off of Sunset Blvd.
Let the attendant know you are there for "Actions of Transfer" and they will direct you from there.
